When first diagnosed with hyperlipidemia/dyslipidemia, a lot of people get confused with all the numbers in the blood test result and wonder what they should be. This article will show you the cut-offs of your blood lipid panel. So keep reading, or just watch the video!

From the table below, you can learn the blood lipids goals and probably notice that the target goals are more strict for people with very high risk cardiovascular disease. But remember- if these values are high, different foods and food groups will make them either higher or lower! Fatty foods, especially, can make parts of your lipid panel rise, while lowering other parts at the same time.
